Welcome from Mary Kramer and Jim Hayes

Once a Detroiter. Always a Detroiter. We’d like to sincerely welcome you back to your hometown for Detroit Homecoming V September 12-14, 2018.  From its inception in 2014, Detroit Homecoming has reconnected former Detroiters to people and projects that are helping Detroit become a better place to live and work.

In 2018, we are celebrating everything that is made in Detroit, including you!  With the theme of Detroit Made, the event will highlight the city’s makers and entrepreneurial spirit.  After an opening reception at the new Ilitch School of Business and dinner on the floor of Little Caesar’s Arena. we’ll move on Thursday morning to the new Lexus Velodrome. Once inside, you’ll experience the Motor City Mashup where you’ll meet some of the city’s most dynamic businesses and hear firsthand from some of the expats who are doing great things in the City. That evening, expats will go to the neighborhood of their choice for one of 15 fun Detroit House Parties, followed by a reception where everyone will gather to share their experiences.

Along the way, you’ll hear from some of the most inspiring city’s leaders and grassroots doers who are so excited to welcome you home!

Detroit Homecoming works because of our incredible expats who reconnect and reinvest in their hometown. To date, more than 500 expats have come home and more than $300 million in investments can be tracked.

We can’t wait for Homecoming V to kick off September 12-14.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
